Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the EEFIT website, which I trust you will find both interesting and informative. Our main mission is to bring the information obtained from Earthquake Field Missions undertaken after major or interesting earthquake events to the community of practising engineers and academics in the UK. In the following pages, you will get a flavour of the work that EEFIT undertakes and the publications that we make available.
EEFIT is run by the goodwill of both a small number of practicing engineers and academics, the limited financial support of a small membership and the excellent secretarial and logistical support of the Institution of Structural Engineers. We express our gratitude to all of them.
Therefore if you believe that you are interested in participating in the activities of EEFIT, I urge you to consider joining us now.
Finally I must thank all the present and past members of the management committee, without whom EEFIT would not exist.
