The technical work of the Institution is overseen by the Engineering Practice Committee. The Committee hopes to gradually expand the range of information available on the site and the Technical Director would welcome any suggestions.

A number of themed areas are listed on the right for you to visit. For example, the Codes & Standards section gives the latest information on Eurocodes and the Legislation section lists current consultation documents. We particularly draw your attention to the current initiatives link.

If you wish to get in touch with others sharing your particular area of interest then visit the study groups which are open to both members and non-members of the Institution.

To benefit from others' experience visit Learning from Structural "Failures" to read case studies with a lesson.

The Institution is involved in a number of initiatives in collaboration with other organisations including the IStructE/ODPM/DCMS Working Group on the Dynamic Performance of Stadia Structures and Seating Decks and the Advisory Group on Temporary Structures (AGOTS).

The Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers (CARE) is administered by ICE. Contact CARE Administrator (Tel: 020 7665 2231) for details.
