What is YRC 09?

The Institution of Structural Engineers is keen to develop awareness among young engineers of the importance and potential of research in advancing structural engineering. YRC 09 provides a platform for research students to present their work and exchange ideas with their peers, industry leaders and selected members of the Institution. Young Engineers are invited to apply to the Institution to present at YRC 09 by submitting a short project synopsis. The YRC organising committee will then select and invite particular applicants to present their research.

Who Attends?

The next generation of structural engineers who are enthusiastic about Structural Engineering and ready to make their mark. YRC 09 is open to those with less than three years (at the date of the conference) full time, or equivalent, research experience in structural engineering and normally under thirty years of age. Delegates may be students registered for research degrees, employees of research organisations or those working in practice.

How to Enter

Delegates must submit a short project synopsis (1 page A4 maximum in 12pt text) of a research project they are actively involved in.

The synopsis should include:

Delegate Presentations
